For many of us, this is a special time of the year, a time for reflecting on rebirth, or liberation, or the natural world, or perhaps all three. We can bring meaning to our springtime rituals no matter what traditions they come from.
There are many ways we can honor this time of the year with wisdom and wonder.
Last Easter I shared this post about “Spring Meaning” at Bon Bon Break— it’s full of suggestions for celebrating spring with meaningful traditions, whether you honor traditional religious holidays or not. You can read about the origins of many of our Easter traditions, and find ideas for putting meaning in cleaning, taking noticing walks, and honoring Earth Day. Find Inspiration in Nature
We can find so much inspiration for our own growth — spiritual or personal — from the natural world around us as it “springs” back to life this time of year. I invite you to spend some time outside this weekend {weather permitting}, to be mindful of the awe-inspiring space you occupy in this world.
Outdoors we are confronted everywhere with wonders; we see that the miraculous is not extraordinary but the common mode of existence. It is our daily bread. We [must not] forget the greater and still continuing miracle by which water (with soil and sunlight) is turned into grapes.” Wendell Berry

Planning to take a “noticing walk?” {described here}. Here’s a great craft idea from Kids Stuff World to create a Found Things Collage for Earth Day!
Master Shift is hosting a Global Meditation for our Planet, narrated by Jullian Lennon, on Earth Day (April 22, 2014). The meditation will be available here (for free) at 9:30pm EDT (a separate meditation time is scheduled for the Eastern hemisphere). You can learn more here about this worldwide meditation. (This event has passed.)
Edited to add: Information about the 2015 Global Meditation can be found here.
