I’m starting off very un-Buddha-like, feeding my ego with a list of eleven things you might like to know about me:
- I am a non-extreme couponer. I have a coupon binder. I do not have a lifetime supply of pasta and toilet paper.
- I once taught a year of Sunday School (Religious Education) at a Unitarian Universalist church.
- I love make-up, clothes, and blingy jewelry.
- My favorite city in the entire world is Florence, Italy. {Though, to be fair, I haven’t seen them all yet}.
- After watching The Incredibles, my children gave each member of our family a superpower. They had “putting bad guys in jail power,” my husband, a runner, got “running power,” and I got… cleaning power.
- I love yoga and secretly long for lululemon yoga pants.
- Politics fascinate me and I am a total election-night junkie.
- I absolutely consider myself Type A. {Some of my friends have nicknamed me “Triple A,” convinced I am no ordinary Type A.} I love lists, I use binders to organize absolutely everything {see #1}, and the Container Store is a dangerous place for me to enter.
- My BA is in History, and I have my Master’s degree in Education.
- An MRI report once described my brain as “unremarkable.” I was both relieved and offended.
- I absolutely love watching old episodes of Beverly Hills, 90210. Best. Show. Ever.
