In my “This I Believe” statement, I have written, “Motherhood is amazing, profound, terrifying, beautiful, exhausting, life-changing, overwhelming, wonderful, breathtaking, and all-at-once the most daring, the most challenging, and most awesome thing I have ever done!”
Motherhood is amazing. YOU are amazing. I also know this journey of motherhood can be hard sometimes, but you are not alone.
We know we should practice gratitude and be thankful for all that we have. But some days it is just so hard.
And that’s why I am excited to tell you that I have joined 22 other inspiring mamas in an uplifting ebook, designed to help you embrace life as you live and love boldly with a grateful heart. The book is called Embracing Life: Loving Boldly with a Grateful Heart, and it is designed to help nourish your heart, as you celebrate the beauty of your life.
And here’s something to be truly thankful for ~ it is available for free!
You can claim your free copy from Raising Loveliness here.
The book consists of interviews with and advice from over twenty mamas about our gratitude practice, and how we sustain that practice even through rough times. Today I’d like to share with you my answer to the question:
“What are you thankful for right now?”
I am so grateful for where I am in my life right now. As a blogger, I have connected with many people who are struggling with certain parts of their lives ~ everything from job loss, to addiction, to child loss, to depression and anxiety ~ you name it. And there were times in my life when I struggled with depression and panic attacks. This has made me so grateful for where I am now and what I have now: a home I love, a job that fulfills and nourishes me, healthy and loving children, a supportive partner, and a generous extended family that lives nearby. I am so blessed.
I am also grateful for the little things: warm coffee with a yummy flavored creamer, a good book, cool fall days with the windows open, fun-colored nail polish, and shirts with sparkles on them.
I truly believe that reading about other people’s thankful moments, and learning about their gratitude practice, can help us live more abundant lives, and help us wake up to the beauty that is all around us.
In the meantime, I’d love to hear from you: Do you have a gratitude practice? What are you thankful for right now?
